ตลอดปีที่ผ่านมา เราได้รับพลังบวกมากมายจากลูกค้าที่กลายมาเป็นเพื่อน คอยสนับสนุนและให้คำแนะนำ
อีกทั้งกัลยาณมิตร ทั้งหลาย สื่อ เพื่อนๆ ชาวคราฟท์ เครือข่าย Fashion Revolution
และการเคลื่อนไหว Slow Fashion ทั้งในและนอกประเทศ ที่เป็นกำลังใจให้กัน ส่งเสริม
ร่วมกันสร้างความตระหนักรู้ เล่าเรื่องราวและคุณค่าของงานหัตศิปล์พื้นถิ่น งานมือ
งานที่ใส่ใจในกระบวนการผลิตตั้งแต่ต้นน้ำจนปลายน้ำ อีกทั้งให้ข้อเท็จจริงของวงการแฟชั่นในปัจจุบัน
2019 เป็นปีแห่งความท้าทายและการค้นพบของเรามาก
เราได้ปรับการจัดการเพื่อพัฒนาคุณภาพและการออกแบบอย่างจริงจัง
พยายามดูแลทั้งกระบวนการอย่างละเอียดละออมากขึ้น
ความเชี่ยวชาญของช่างในทุกกระบวนการ ก็มีการพัฒนาฝีมือมากขึ้นอย่างเห็นได้
ตั้งแต่การปลูกฝ้าย เข็นฝ้าย ฆ่าฝ้าย ย้อม ทอ มาถึงการออกแบบและตัดเย็บ
แม้กระทั่งการซักรีดก่อนที่จะถึงมือคุณลูกค้า เรากล้าพูดเลยว่าผ้าเราสวยขึ้นมากจริงๆ
เมื่อกลับไปมองจากจุดเริ่มต้น เราเองก็เรียนรู้สิ่งที่เหมาะสม
พัฒนาออกแบบที่ดึงเสน่ห์ของผ้าฝ้ายเข็นมือทอมืออกมาในรูปแบบที่เขาใจง่ายได้ตอบโจทย์การใช้งานได้มากกว่าเดิม
รู้สึกดีใจมากที่ทุกคนเข้าใจในกระบวนการงานมือของเราที่ไม่สามารถเทียบกับผ้าที่ถูกสร้างขึ้นด้วยเครื่องจักร
เรายังเชื่อว่า “ความไม่สมบูรณ์แบบ” (imperfection) เป็นเสน่ห์ของผ้าของเรา
แต่เราก็ไม่หยุดในการควบคุมคุณภาพอย่างสม่ำเสมอ
หากผิดพลาดพระการใด กรุณาติชม เพื่อเราจะเติบโตไปได้อย่างแข็งแรงนะคะ

On behalf of everyone at Folkcharm,
I would like to thank everyone of you who have provided us support
and all who travel the same path of promoting local artisans,
transparency in supply chains and ethical consumption both in Thailand and wherever you are in the world.
It requires all of us to be the same voice and create the change.
Most sincere appreciation to our dear customers who have been with us since the start,
new ones who have eventually become our friends,
the media and fellow social enterprises and ethical brands both domestic and overseas
who share the same mission in creating awareness on the value of what we wear,
how our clothes are made, what and who are behind it.
Through story telling, we share to the world how we respect the artisans,
everyone and everything involved.
In 2019, Folkcharm faced many big challenges internally and externally.
Still, we stand true to our value on one-of-a-kind items and the ‘imperfections’
that come with the entirely hand-processed yarns and textiles.
While trying to improve our management, design and quality control for better products,
our work in creating awareness to our customers on the uniqueness of the craft,
our transparent pricing and how we value our artisans continue to be work in progress.
And yet we have made it this far and hope to continue to grow with everyone’s support.
